Not the whole thing but it's definitely a JLU.

Admin Note:

**Photo procured by JLWF from a reader who claims it was taken from the Toledo factory floor.**

This leaked image from the Toledo plant gives us the very first look at a completely uncovered 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (JLU)!

Seen here is a JLU with a black canvas soft top. Given the lack of demarcation on the side of the hood to indicate trim level, this could be a Sport model based on what appear to be more street-friendly tires and lack of rock rails. However, the vehicle also has a vented hood so it remains to be seen whether this will be a Rubicon-only feature as it is in the current generation JK Wrangler.

Many of the visible design changes and features that JLWranglerForums first showed you in the leaked images and our digital renderings have been proven accurate with this image, including a fender vent, albeit smaller than predicted, redesigned body colored door hinges, buttonless door pull-handle, a body character line reminiscent of the TJ Wrangler running the length of the vehicle, higher mounted side windows and a flatter hood with redesigned hood bumpers for the removable windshield, fixing the forward rake of the current Wrangler.

This prototype JLU has a black canvas soft top and black fender flares which we know from the FCA dealer system leak to be returning as options. As expected, the fender flare arches have received a more aerodynamic makeover and appear to be made of higher quality plastic with a slight polished finish, to address longstanding concerns about the graying effect on the current model Wrangler.

Wish the photo was a little more from a angle. Hard to make out how profound the body lines and vent is. :headbang: Still, thanks though!

Something I find interesting is that this appears to be a sport but it has the vented hood. I wonder if the vented hood is going to standard then.

I really hope those mirrors are as removable as they look. They look like they can pop out of the door, and then pop into the doorless body. Also, the body line is exactly like the TJ's because it stops by the A pillar and continues above the fenders. I really hope there's more pics out there that will leak soon.

What makes you think it's Sport? I would bet the hood is only on Rubicon just like it is now. This must be some kind of pilot build still unless they are no longer marking the trims on the side of the hood. It's also missing any rock rails/side step.

I personally really like how horizontal / flat the hood looks. I always wanted a flatter hood, the slope on the hood is one of the only things I dislike about the looks of the wrangler. If they flatten that out they will make me a very happy boy!!!!:clap::clap:

I share the same hope re: the mirrors. That would be fantastic if they did that.

It is very noticeablely a sport. Tires, no Rubi sticker, lack of rock rail, body color fenders/soft top (which could mean anything, but still). The only thing that is of question is the hood. I hiiiighly doubt that hood is standard on a sport.

The lack of rock rails, decals and the tires appear to be standard street tires. Doesn't really look like a rubi other than the hood.

Edit: Also I think the line under the Wrangler sticker just might say Sport

As excited as I am to see the new jeep.... it's a shame we just can't have nice things be a surprise anymore. As much as they try and ask people to keep it hush hush... people gonna leak.
